CRABS walk sideways to move forward. Leaders take different routes towards their vision.

CRABS walk sideways to move forward. Leaders take different routes towards their vision.
When we think of moving forward, we often imagine a straight path. But nature tells a different story. Crabs, for example, move sideways—not backward—not even straight ahead. Yet, they still reach their destination. This teaches us a vital lesson: the path doesn’t have to be typical to be right. Leaders are vision-driven, not route-bound. They understand that life doesn’t always allow a straight path to success. Sometimes, you need to take a step to the side, pause, reroute, and find a new way forward. What matters is direction, not method. Society often expects a certain way to succeed—study well, get a job, follow a pattern. But many great leaders broke that pattern and chose a unique route. Like the crab, they didn’t follow the crowd—they followed their purpose. Every detour, every sidestep, can still bring progress if it’s aligned with your vision. Leaders know that flexibility is not weakness—it’s wisdom in motion. So, are you willing to take a different route to reach your dream? Remember, it’s okay to walk sideways—as long as you're still moving forward.
