Real Strength Lies in What Works

Real Strength Lies in What Works
CATERPILLARS walk with 16 legs but only 6 are real. Leaders use what works, not what appears. Not everything we carry helps us move forward. A caterpillar has 16 legs, but only 6 actually help it walk. The rest are just there for support or balance. In the same way, leaders understand the difference between what looks helpful and what truly makes a difference. In a world full of distractions and show, it’s easy to rely on things that look impressive — long titles, big teams, fancy tools. But real leadership lies in knowing which “legs” actually move you forward. It’s not about having more; it’s about using the right things at the right time. True leaders stay focused. They don’t get caught up in unnecessary weight. Instead, they choose wisely — people, plans, and actions that deliver real results. They trust what works, not what just looks good. We all have strengths, talents, and resources. But the secret is to identify which of them truly help us grow. Like the caterpillar, we may appear to have many moving parts — but only a few are key to our real progress. So today, pause and reflect: are you holding on to something just because it looks useful? Or are you boldly walking with only what truly serves your purpose?
